Editorial Policy

How we decide what to publish, where the facts come from, and what happens when we get something wrong.

Last updated 27 Aug 2026

Where our facts come from

Licence details come from the UK Gambling Commission's public register — the operating company, the licence number and the domains listed against it — cross-checked against the casino's own footer and terms. Offer details come from the operator's own terms page on the date we say we checked it. Where a figure can't be verified, we leave it out and say it's being checked. We would rather have a gap than a guess.

What we will never publish

Independence

We earn commission from some of the sites we review — the full arrangement is set out in ouraffiliate disclosure. Commercial terms have no bearing on scores, list order, or whether a site's flaws get written down. Reviewers are not told what an operator pays.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, we fix it and date the fix. Material corrections — a wrong wagering figure, an out-of-date offer, a licence detail — get a note on the page saying what changed and when. We don't quietly edit and pretend it was always right.

Spotted something? Tell us. We read everything.

Who writes this

Every review carries the name of the person who wrote it and the date they last checked it. Author profiles are on our authors page. We don't publish under invented bylines or stock personas.

Why the site is UK-only

Gambling regulation is national. A site that's properly licensed in one country may offer no protection at all to a player in another — different rules on deposit limits, self-exclusion, dispute resolution and how your money is held. We cover the UK because that's the market we can check properly, and because GamStop only works across UK-licensed sites.
