What a PayPal deposit puts between you and your bank
An e-wallet is a payment account that pays the casino on your behalf. The operator gets its £10 from PayPal; PayPal holds your card or bank details. That is the whole mechanism — a layer, not a shield.
Three things follow. Gambling deposits collect in one account with its own history, so the running total is easy to find. The casino is not holding your card number. And on every site here PayPal pays withdrawals as well as taking deposits, so money can leave the way it arrived.
One thing follows that affiliate pages rarely mention: a payment layer removes a few seconds of friction from depositing. If that pause was doing you a favour, an e-wallet takes it away. The controls that hold are the deposit limits, reality checks, time-outs and GamStop registration on the site itself.

No minimum withdrawal and no fee schedule appear in those terms: a missing figure, not a promise there is nothing to pay.
Hippodrome Online is the row to read twice. It takes PayPal, and its welcome offer’s significant terms say debit card deposits only (exclusions apply), £20 minimum, 10x wagering, seven days from registration. Fund that account with PayPal and the offer is not yours: a site’s payment list and an offer’s payment clause are two different lists.
Four methods make the round trip, two only take money in
On the seventeen Jumpman cashiers, the deposit list is two entries longer than the withdrawal list. That asymmetry is where PayPal earns its place.

Work it through at Loot Casino or Dove Slots. Deposit £10 on your phone bill and there is nowhere for a balance to go until you add and verify a debit card, PayPal, Skrill or Neteller account in your own name — with the money spendable while you do it. A PayPal deposit skips that.
Withdrawals generally return to the method you deposited with, which is why the deposit is the decision that matters. The credit-card ban reaches into your PayPal account
Gambling with a credit card has been banned in Great Britain since 14 April 2020, under licence condition 6.1.2 of the LCCP. The Commission’s stated reason was research finding that 22% of online gamblers using credit cards were classed as problem gamblers.
The condition does not stop at cards. A licensee may accept an e-wallet only where the provider can assure it that credit-card funding is prevented — so an e-wallet is acceptable only in ways the operator can show are not credit.
A PayPal balance topped up from a credit card is therefore not a route into a UK-licensed casino. How that plays out when you press deposit — declined outright, or steered to another funding source — is not in the terms we read. Check your PayPal funding source is your bank balance or a debit card before you rely on it.
Why we will not call PayPal the fast option here
Because the published figures do not support it. Each operator gives one processing time for the whole cashier, not one per method: within 24 hours across the Jumpman brands, up to 24 hours at Spin Casino and up to 72 at Hippodrome Online, both noted as varying at weekends, and nothing published at Jackpot City. The difference between those is the operator, not the payment method.
What happens after the operator releases the money — how quickly PayPal shows it, whether moving it onward adds a step — is not published in any of those terms, so we are not putting a number on it.
One clause deserves more attention than any speed claim. The Jumpman terms say a pending withdrawal returns to your playable balance within 48 hours. Request £120 at nine on a Friday, and until roughly nine on Sunday it is one login away from being £120 of stakes again. PayPal does nothing about that.
